One of the developing treatments for different cases of keratoconus is Corneal Cross linking System, which treats the disorder by increasing collagen crosslink. The collagen acts as a natural “anchors” to support cornea in the most efficient manner.

One of the most vital treatments in complicated and extreme cases of Keratoconus is corneal transplant surgery.  Due to extreme thinning of cornea and when the vision of the patients cannot be retrieved through any other modes of treatment, the only left option for the doctors is to go for corneal transplant surgery.  In this complicated medical procedures, the center of cornea is removed.  The center part is then effectively replaced by the cornea of the donor.

The specialized treatment of Keratoconus treatment in delhi is photorefractive keratectomy or popularly known as PRK. This treatment is done through refractive surgical procedures conducted by a team of best eye surgeons and eye specialists for the purpose of correction of cornea in the mild cases of Keratoconus.  The PRK is considered to be one of the first types of laser surgery that are conducted for the purpose of vision correction in various patients.

The PRK surgery takes more time to recover than Lasik eye surgery.  Due to many advantages of PRK over the Lasik, it is considered to be one of the most preferred surgical procedures for vision correction in Delhi NCR and other parts of India.  One of the major disadvantages of Lasik treatment in cases of Keratoconus disorder is that it further weaken the layer of cornea and distort vision.
